Clean Windows 7 MRU Search History in a click

Search queries are saved when you search something using the Search box in Windows 7explorer. The old typed search queries (MRU) are displayed in the search bar when you type or recent search suggestions are shown. There is an easy way to clear the searchhistory in Windows 7, using “MRU Search History Cleanup Tool” by ITknowledge24.

To clean recent search entries, just run this small & portable tool and click ‘Cleanup now’.
You can also ‘Permanently Disable Recent Search Entries’ in Windows 7 -
To do this, follow the steps below:
1. Click Start, type ‘gpedit.msc’ in search box and open it.
2. Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer
3. Look for “Turn off display of recent search entries in the Windows Explorer search box” entry in the settings panel under Windows Explorer.
4. Click ‘Enabled’, Apply and Ok. Logoff to let the changes take effect.
Now, Windows will stop suggesting recent queries for the Search Box and will not storesearch box entries into the registry for future references.
