File Splitter Lite is a portable, lightweight (279KB) and fast tool to split and join your files. It has got a very simple and easy-to use interface. No command line operations or any such complexities involved.
To get started, just run the EXE file. The utterly simple interface offers you to perform Split and Join operations through separate tabs meant for “Split” and “Join”. To start splitting your files switch to the “Split” tab and browse for the source file to split. Then, browse for the output directory where you want to save the files after splitting. In the output file options, either specify number of files you need to split the larger file or specify the custom size in KB, MB or GB. Once done with these settings, click on “Split” to initiate the process.
Joining files is made so easy by this tool that you just need to browse for any of the file chunks, order is not important, and it will automatically dig out the rest of the chunks in the same directory. It also displays you the space required by the file after merging. Just specify your output directory, give the file name if you wish and click “Join” to join all the files together.
It is really a fast, portable and light application to ease the job of file splitting and merging. It takes less than a minute to split an AVI file of approx. 1GB and even less than that in joining it back.
